Biography : 

Ryu was born July 21, 19642 in Japan of unknown parents. He was raised by his master Gouken who taught his martial art, the Ansatsuken Goutetsu style. He is still young when he met the second disciple of Gouken came from the United States, Ken Masters, with whom he maintains friendship and rivalry.

Quiet and humble, he has dedicated his life to the pursuit of spiritual perfection through the art of combat, so win or fail does not matter to him as he has a sense of progress his way.
